Happy Science teachings are based on the faith in El Cantare - the highest spiritual existence responsible for planet Earth - Lord of all humankind. Lord El Cantare is a creator of human souls on Earth and the source of all life energy. He is the Lord of all Gods and has guided humanity from the beginning of life on Earth. Though the name of El Cantare has been revealed to humankind for the first time, He is the same existence who has been referred to as "El" or "Elohim" in the Old Testament of the Bible and the same consciousness who guided many High Spirits of Light such as Moses, Jesus Crist and Mohammed, while they were spreading the Truth on Earth in different eras. Lord El Cantare is the source of all worldwide religious teachings, such as Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and others. This time the core part of El Cantare consciousness has descended down to Earth as Master Ryuho Okawa with the mission to convey the Truth of the existence of the world beyond this one and its values, to reveal the reasons for the existence of different religions giving the means to resolve conflicts between them.

Multi-dimensional structure of the Universe. The world we live in is a three-dimensional world - a temporary world, which co-exists as a tiny part of the multi-dimensional Universe. Human spirits, who depart from this temporary world, go back to the Real (Spirit) World and, depending on their state of mind, dwell in the Spirit world starting from the fourth- through to the ninth dimension. They form a group known as a terrestrial spirit group.

Human beings are essentially spiritual beings who have an eternal life and have repeated reincarnations from the Real (Spirit) World to this temporary world with the purpose to refine their souls and climb the ladder of Enlightenment. After the death of a physical body a human soul returns back to the Real (Spirit) World and lives in a realm (Dimension) which is appropriate to the level of one's mind.
